Star Micronics America, Inc., announced today the release of its prescription printer to automate the prescription writing/reading process for both doctors’ offices and pharmacies. Star is one of the first printer manufacturers to answer the call from the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industries to automate the prescription process and make it more efficient. Star Micronics has a dual solution to print thermal prescriptions using its TSP800 thermal printer. The TSP800 printer enables doctors to print thermal prescriptions versus handwritten prescriptions from a pad avoiding legibility errors. Utilizing specialized and secured thermal prescription paper, the prescriptions are printed using the latest medical technology software on the market, resulting in a secured legible script in seconds.
